Part-Time Housekeeper

Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and maintain the home
- Clean bathrooms, including sinks, mirrors, fixtures, and surfaces
- Dust and clean throughout the home
- Vacuum and mop floors
- Clean the children's rooms and playroom
- Pick up and move items as needed rather than simply cleaning around them
- Maintain an organized and polished home
- Complete family laundry from start to finish
- Carefully sort laundry according to the family's preferences
- Wash clothing primarily on cold and delicate settings
- Hang and air-dry items when appropriate
- Properly care for delicate and specialty fabrics
- Assist with stain treatment and garment care
- Separate items requiring dry cleaning or special care
- Change and launder linens
- Gradually take on deeper cleaning projects as familiarity with the home develops
- Communicate when additional household services, such as window cleaning, may be helpful

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional housekeeping experience in a private home
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness
- Professional laundry experience, including delicate fabrics
- Knowledge of proper stain treatment and garment care
- Comfortable caring for higher-end or specialty household items
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
- Strong organizational skills
- Fluent in English
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to complete a comprehensive background screening
- Comfortable working in a home with young children and a family who is typically home
- Comfortable around dogs
Schedule
The family is looking to begin with approximately 6 hours per week on a consistent schedule. There is potential for the position to grow over time as the family and housekeeper build trust and determine additional household needs.
Compensation
