Boise Nanny Agency: Finding a Trusted Nanny in the Treasure Valley
Updated: 36 minutes ago
Boise has grown fast, and finding good childcare hasn't kept up. A lot of the parents who call us just moved to the Treasure Valley, don't have family nearby yet, and aren't sure where to even start looking for a nanny.
That's where we come in. The Family Care Collective is a family-owned nanny agency run by me and my partner Mario. We place nannies with families in Boise and the surrounding towns, and we take care of the searching, screening and interviewing so you can focus on choosing the right person.
Where we place nannies in the Treasure Valley
Most of our Idaho families are in or near:
Boise, including the North End, the East End, Harris Ranch and Southeast Boise
Eagle and Star
Meridian and Kuna
Nampa and Caldwell
Living a bit farther out? Send us a note anyway and we'll be straight with you about whether we can find someone.
The kinds of nannies we place
Full-time nannies for families who need steady, everyday care.
Part-time and after-school nannies for the hours between school, daycare and work.
Special needs nannies with real experience supporting kids with different learning, medical or behavioral needs.
Newborn and infant care for those first months, when you want someone calm who really knows babies.
House managers and family assistants for busy households that need help beyond childcare.
How our process works
Consultation. We start with a real conversation about your routines, your values and what matters most to you. Nap schedules, screen time, food, driving, pets, all of it.
Search. We recruit locally in the Treasure Valley and reach out to nannies we already know. We don't just forward you a pile of resumes.
Screening. Every candidate is interviewed by our team. We call references from past families and run a background check before you ever meet her.
Introductions. You meet a small group of nannies who actually fit. Usually that's a video call first, then a paid trial day.
Offer and onboarding. We help you think through pay, a written nanny agreement and the first few weeks so things start on the right foot.
Why families in Boise use an agency
When you're new to town, you don't have a neighbor to text for a recommendation. You're trusting a stranger with your kids, and that's a big deal. We meet candidates, check references and run background checks before anyone comes to your door.
We also know the local market. Idaho has its own rules for household employers, and pay in Boise has changed a lot over the last few years. We'll help you make an offer that's fair and competitive, so you don't lose a great nanny to a family down the street.
What does a nanny cost in Boise?
It depends on hours, experience and how many kids you have. We put together a detailed look at Boise nanny rates, Idaho nanny taxes and benefits in our guide to hiring a nanny in Boise.
Common questions
Do you place nannies outside Boise?
Yes. Boise, Salt Lake City and Denver are our home markets, and we work with families nationwide.
Can you help if we just moved here?
Absolutely. A lot of our Boise families are new to the area. We can even start the search before you've finished unpacking.
Does the nanny work for the agency or for us?
She works for your family. We find and vet her, and we can point you to payroll services that handle nanny taxes.
Do you place part-time nannies?
Yes. We fill part-time, after-school and full-time roles.
We work with families beyond Boise too. Read about our Idaho nanny agency.
