Salt Lake City Nanny Agency: How We Help Utah Families Find the Right Nanny
If you're looking for a nanny agency in Salt Lake City, there's a good chance you already tried the apps. You posted a job, got a flood of messages, and maybe a few of them actually read what you wrote. We hear that story all the time.
The Family Care Collective is a small, family-owned nanny agency. My partner Mario and I run it together, and we place nannies with families in Salt Lake City and up and down the Wasatch Front. We do the searching, screening and interviewing, so the only people you meet are people who could really work for your family.
Where we place nannies in Utah
Most of our Utah families live in or near:
Salt Lake City, including the Avenues, Sugar House and the East Bench
Holladay, Millcreek and Cottonwood Heights
Sandy, Draper and South Jordan
Lehi and northern Utah County
Bountiful and Farmington
If you're a little outside that area, reach out anyway. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
The kinds of nannies we place
Full-time nannies for families who need steady, everyday care.
Part-time and after-school nannies for the hours between school, daycare and work.
Special needs nannies with real experience supporting kids with different learning, medical or behavioral needs.
Newborn and infant care for those first months, when you want someone calm who really knows babies.
House managers and family assistants for busy households that need help beyond childcare.
How our process works
Consultation. We start with a real conversation about your routines, your values and what matters most to you. Nap schedules, screen time, food, driving, pets, all of it.
Search. We recruit locally in the Salt Lake area and reach out to nannies we already know. We don't just forward you a pile of resumes.
Screening. Every candidate is interviewed by our team. We call references from past families and run a background check before you ever meet her.
Introductions. You meet a small group of nannies who actually fit. Usually that's a video call first, then a paid trial day.
Offer and onboarding. We help you think through pay, a written nanny agreement and the first few weeks so things start on the right foot.
Why use an agency instead of an app?
Apps can work if you have the time to screen dozens of people and you know exactly what to ask. Most parents we talk to are already stretched thin. An agency gives you someone who has done the filtering, knows what Salt Lake families are paying right now, and will pick up the phone if something feels off a few weeks in.
It's better for the nanny too. Fair pay and a clear agreement up front mean fewer awkward conversations later, and nannies who feel respected tend to stay.
What does a nanny cost in Salt Lake City?
Pay depends on experience, hours and how many kids are in the home. We wrote a full breakdown of Salt Lake nanny rates, Utah nanny taxes and benefits in our guide to hiring a nanny in Salt Lake City.
Common questions
Do you only work with families in Salt Lake City?
No. Salt Lake City, Denver and Boise are our home markets, but we place nannies with families all across the U.S.
How long does it take to find a nanny?
It depends on your schedule and how specific the role is. We'll give you a realistic timeline on your first call instead of a sales pitch.
Does the nanny work for the agency or for us?
She works for your family. We handle the search and the match, and we can point you to nanny payroll services so your taxes are done right.
Can we hire a part-time or after-school nanny?
Yes. We fill part-time and after-school roles as well as full-time ones.
